How do I get to the event from the airport (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport - PHX)?

Accepted Answer

Options include Options include a taxi, Uber or Lyft, or rental car services.

Shared ride services are widely available in the Phoenix area and typically respond quickly. Guests are encouraged to have the Uber or Lyft app downloaded on their mobile devices prior to arrival.

Rental car service is available at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport; however, the rental car center is located offsite and requires a 10-minute Sky Train (monorail) ride from the terminal.

There is also a Phoenix Light Rail station at the airport, but we recommend using other forms of transportation, as reaching The Scottsdale Resort & Spa would require multiple transfers and walking with luggage.

Additional transportation details will be provided closer to the event date. Please stay tuned for updates.

Where is the Registration Desk?

The Registration Desk is is located in the main lobby area near the hotel entrance. This is where check-in, check-out, and guest services such as room key pickup and concierge assistance are handled.

Registration packets may be picked up after 1 PM on Monday, August 24th or Tuesday morning at 7am. The Registration Desk is also the central point of contact for any questions about the conference. If you have any issues or if the Registration Desk is vacant, feel free to contact Robert Clarillos at 480-263-2260.

How do the lunches and breaks work?

Luncheons at the WRGC are served buffet style and feature a variety of fine prepared entrees, salads, and desserts. You may return during lunch for as much food as you like.

Breakfast is provided as an assortment of Continental snacks in the “Snack Shacks.”

Please contact Robert Clarillos or Sheila Deringis at the Registration Desk in the event of lost name badges or lost meal coupons.

Where is the Conference Business Center?

For all business needs (photocopying, printing from flash drives, shipping, internet access, etc.) The Scottsdale Resort & Spa Hotel has a business center as well as a UPS store. The conference concierge can assist with any shipping services or business center needs.

The hotel offers valet and self-parking on the premises for guests and conference attendees. Tips for valet service are appreciated.

Self-Parking: $5.00 per vehicle, per day (if applicable)
Valet Parking: $35.00 per vehicle, per day (if applicable)

Where can I park if I do not want to valet?

You may certainly opt for self-parking on the hotel premises instead of valet service.  Additionally, nearby public parking and metered street parking are available for guests, though rates and availability may vary. Guests are encouraged to check posted signs and plan accordingly.

Is the Internet Access Free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Complimentary wireless Internet service is available in the guest rooms and will be provided free of charge in the meeting rooms and Vendor Display area. Guests of the hotel may contact the WRGC Registration desk for the password upon check-in.

If you need special internet access, such as a hard line for a vendor display, etc., please contact us.

Question 10

How does Vendor Set-Up and Breakdown Work?

Vendors are responsible for the set-up and breakdown of their own tabletop or other displays. Shipments to the hotel should indicate “Western Regional Gas Conference” as well as the name of the vendor. Hotel staff will retrieve vendor exhibit materials from storage. 120-volt power is provided, as well as seating for two at each display area. Vendors are responsible for breaking down their exhibits and arranging for shipment or pickup. Wireless internet service will be provided. If you require wired internet, please contact the hotel as charges for this will be billed to you separately.
If the display is large, a drayage company may be required to receive, store, and bring the display into the Vendor Display area and/or you may need to purchase two booths or a larger display area. If you have a display that is larger than a typical tabletop display, please contact Robert Clarillos about pricing as the vendor fees are for a standard tabletop display, only. Vendor space is limited, and a dual table display is not guaranteed

The raffle will begin at approximately 5 PM. Each year the vendors and the Western Regional Gas Association provide many excellent door prize gifts for our attendees.
